Course Overview


This two-day course provides delegates with a technical awareness of implementing renewable technologies and the government-based incentive schemes for the installation of these systems at home and within an organisation. It is aimed at people or companies who would like to learn how to implement a renewable energy project of their own.


During the course you will be able to select which discipline you would like to specialise in, either: solar, wind, ground source heat or hydroelectric. On the second day, you will then use these systems practically and learn the fundamentals for their installation and maintenance. This course is delivered by Chartered Environmentalist Dr. Daniel Thomas who is a UKAS accredited Auditor.


Course Content


You will learn how to make a budget for managing financial resources to meet business and/or home requirements. You will be shown how to source components from the most cost effective sources. The course will teach you the practical means on renewable construction. Day-one of the course covers:

  • Introduction to microgeneration energy technologies
  • Solar photovoltaic
  • Solar thermal
  • Micro wind turbines
  • Hydrogenation turbines
  • Biomass generation
  • Rain water harvesting
  • Ground heat
  • Awareness of the 'Code for Sustainable Homes'
  • Micro generation certifications


On day-two you will select a project to implement, this can be either of the following: solar, wind, ground source heat or hydroelectric.

Our implementing renewable energy project course is for those wishing to gain further knowledge in renewable energy technologies or those who are considering developing a renewable energy project. The course is an introduction to the green energy and environmental technologies that will cover; solar photovoltaic, micro wind turbines, hydrogenation turbines, rain water harvesting and ground source heat.
