By attending this course our professional film makers will show you the key filmmaking principles that you will need in order to develop a digital film project. During the course, you will be encouraged to develop your own ideas and translate them to real life digital video.


You will learn how to produce amazing content by using essential equipment. The requirements for attending this course is that you should be creative and have a very limited knowledge of digital cameras. Welcome to day one here you will understand pre-production and film planning. During this first day, we will show you the most crucial parts of creating film. Here you will be taught how to plan and develop your idea before the production process. You will learn about:

  • Develop a script
  • Research and Development
  • Creating characters and a coherent story
  • Developing a shot list


Welcome to day two, here you will learn about proper camera technique, lighting, cinematography and sound. Today you will learn the techniques required by the professional film maker. These rules apply whatever your budget is and whatever equipment and editing software you are using. It is this process that has the greatest effect on your film. Today we will cover the process of:

  • Mastering your digital camera
  • Key principles of effective lighting
  • How to record high quality sound
  • Cinematography
  • Filming fundamentals
  • Working in the field
  • Mastering the framing, shot choice and camera movement


The final day, here you will learn all about post-production, editing and finalising your film. Although this is the most complex and time-consuming component in the film making process, we will teach you the proper techniques of effective post-production. You will be taught using this step to create unique video that stands out among the sea of bland content.
